 A transfer, moving a person from one surface to another is one of the most physically challenging tasks a caregiver has.  It is often one of the most difficult daily activities for a person who has a disability.   At home Access Solutions, we believe that transfers are one of the most dangerous daily human activities for many people with disabilities and thier caregivers.  We believe that un-safe transfers are one of the leading causes of hospitalizations and institutionalizations. 

We take transfers very seriously.

 

That is why we are proud to be the exclusive dealer in Nebraska and much of Iowa 

 for SureHands Lift and Care Systems.  Our founder BevVan was impressed with the quality of the equipment and the variety of solutions provided by one company.  When the dealership became available in the area she jumped at the opportunity and the rest is history!

 

Surehands Lift and Care Systems and Home Access Solutions provide complimentary in-home consultation.  The consultation covers which lifting system will best meet your needs and proper sizing of the portion that touches the person being transferred whether it is the unique Body Support or one of the variety of slings.  We also have a demo ceiling track installed in Omaha and will be glad to meet with you there.

 

We work with a variety of funding sources and our installation and service is provided by specialists who have been trained at the Pine Island New York Surehands Lift and Care Systems Center.

  Safety Sure Transfer Slide Sheet

 

Makes moving easier by reducing surface friction.  Use it in bed, wheelchairs, on tub transfer benches, for car transfers, wherever moving is difficult.  Washable.  A simple idea but it works like a charm!  Three sizes available.

 

 

  Smart Rail

 

Unique bedrail can unlock and pivot outward to provide flexible standing and transfer support.  Slides between box spring and mattress, and secures with safety strap.  Rail height 30".  Leg extension option allows height range of 31-35".

 

 

  The Handy Bar

 

Easy to use.  No tools.  Works for the Driver or Passenger.  Fits most American and Japanese vehicles.  Make sure your car door stricker is a "U" shape that is at least 3/4" deep.

 

1)  Insert into striker plate of car and rotate as shown

2)  Use to support your weight as you move in and out

3)  Remove Handy Bar before you close the door
